No Flowers

I attended the funeral of an infant today. That small white casket is something you never want to see. There are no words that make any sense for that young mother.

The pastor drew our attention to the lack of flowers present at this humble gathering. He said, "Do NOT send me flowers when I die....Love me while I still live, hug me while I am still with you, visit me while I still walk this earth, gather around me while I still have breath, send me flowers while I LIVE!"

Livin' with the intent to have no regrets is a daily choice. Not an easy way to live - but the best way.

God doesn't miss anything...

This verse struck me the other day...
Hebrews 6:10-12 (Today's New International Version)
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Hmmm....are we still unclear?

Proverbs 24:12

"...Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls knows that we know, and holds us responsible to ACT..."
